Ammo Shipping Policy
Short answer: Liberty Ammo ships ammunition by ground carrier from our own warehouse. We review each order, confirm the delivery address, then ship once payment is received. An adult must sign for delivery. We do not ship to every state.

How an order moves
- You place your order on the site. No payment is taken at checkout.
- We review the order and check your delivery address and eligibility for your state. See How Ordering and Payment Works.
- We email you an invoice with the shipping cost and payment instructions.
- After payment is received, we pack the order and hand it to a ground carrier.
- We email your tracking number the day the order ships.
Handling time
Orders placed on weekends or holidays are processed the next business day. Busy periods, severe weather and carrier delays can add time. If an order will ship later than expected, we will email you.
Ground delivery only
Federal rules do not allow ammunition to travel by air, so every order goes by ground. Delivery to remote areas can take longer.
Adult signature required
A person aged 21 or older must be present to sign for the package. If nobody is available, the carrier will try again or hold the package. Repeated failed delivery attempts can lead to a return to our warehouse, and costs may apply (see Returns and Refunds).
Where we ship, and where we don't
We ship to most of the contiguous United States. Some states and cities restrict ammunition sales, and a few of them require documents before we can ship. Read the full list on Shipping Restrictions by State.
We do not ship to:
- Alaska and Hawaii
- California, Massachusetts, New York and Washington D.C.
- Chicago and other cities that ban ammunition sales
- U.S. territories, APO/FPO addresses and international addresses
- PO boxes
Shipping costs
Shipping cost depends on package weight, size and distance. We quote it on your invoice, so you see the exact amount before you pay. Large case and pallet orders are quoted separately. See Bulk Ammo.
Damaged, missing or wrong items
Open the package on delivery and check the contents. If something is damaged, missing or wrong, contact us within 7 days of delivery and send photos. We will make it right under our Returns and Refunds policy.
Wrong address or refused packages
Please check your address carefully. If a package is refused, cannot be delivered, or is returned because of an incorrect address, we may charge a restocking fee and the return shipping cost. Changing the address after shipment may not be possible.
