The 10mm Auto is a full-size pistol cartridge that produces more muzzle energy than 9mm or 40 S&W in full-power loads, and its fans use it for range shooting, woods carry and handgun hunting.

The 180 grain full metal jacket is the staple, offered by Magtech, Remington UMC, Sellier & Bellot and Winchester White Box. Beyond it are CorBon 150 and 155 grain hollow points and a 200 grain Hunter Penetrator, G9 Defense's 145 grain Woodsman solid copper and Federal's 200 grain HST, in boxes and bulk packs for different uses.
